Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). The Capacity Creation & Transformation consultants will work closely with the global transaction cycle teams in Wealth Ops in UK , Europe and India to identify various transformation opportunities, help prioritise them with the business teams, build business cases to fund these projects and help execute them, in order to create more capacity in BI Operations.

The suitable candidate will be using their strong business process reengineering, automation & Lean, project management, analysis and leadership skills and experience to enable identification and prioritization of the transformation opportunities

What will you be doing
This role will have primary responsibility to support driving India BI Operations strategy working closely with the BU heads to meet and exceed the Transformation & Automation targets for the BI Ops transaction cycles as set out in the MTP.

The role will be a key interface into current senior stakeholders and, as such, the candidate will need to be able to prioritise and balance the workload across the team and provide high quality communications at a fast pace.

Business Analysis and Design

. In-depth understanding & mapping of business processes within BI Operations, ability to interconnect the processes and evaluate lean and automation opportunities therein.
. Identify improvement opportunities within front to back processes either at UK or in India
. Ensure definition and documentation of business and operations requirements and designs, aligned to business and operational strategies for transformation & automation.
. Co-ordination, review and challenge of current state analysis
. Apply best practice to determine opportunities for efficiency and improvement via process, automation and location-focused solutioning, determining and applying innovative designs where required to meet business / operations requirements.
. Work closely with the process implementation and location teams to identify and promote changes to existing processes and related systems that are suitable for further development, automation and right-shoring
. Define impact analysis of proposed changes in terms of complexity, man-day effort and cross cluster impacts
. Ensure documented designs and processes are produced/updated in accordance with BIA and Group Controls/Compliance requirements
. Lead the design and implementation of suitable controls based on identification and documentation of risks within the proposed solution

. Relevant years experience in process improvement/ consulting/ technology roles
. Experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
. Experience in working with complex, interdependent process frameworks
. Experience in analysis of risks within processes and design of mitigating controls.
. Experience in creating compelling business cases for implementation, backed by data
. In depth experience of reviewing processes end to end using Lean methodology/Automation and driving implementation
. Excellent business analysis and gap analysis skills, reflecting the need to understand and interpret complex, extensive and interconnected business requirements

. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with senior stakeholders, business subject matter experts, technology and HR, including
. Persuasive with good interpersonal skills
. Strong process, procedure and subject matter documentation skills
. Knowledge of standard Banking processes to e.g. facilitate understanding, interpreting and documenting business requirements
. Ability to manage business priorities in a banking environment and interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the Bank

Skills that will help you in the role:
. Relevant years of experience preferably an Engineering degree
. Global Banks in-house capability centres / Big 4 consulting / BFSI
. Done or led Automation/Lean/6 sigma projects in BFSI
. Led Change/Transformation programs, preferably in BFSI
. Experience of full project lifecycle (i.e. from initiation to closure) including ownership of delivery
. Experience of working on own initiative and/or in small teams with minimum supervision
