Senior Engineer/Assitant Manager IBMS & MEP (Chiller Plant Project Execution)

Role Overview:
The role involves end-to-end project execution and management of IBMS systems, MEP services, and central chiller plants for large-scale infrastructure projects (Data Centers / Commercial / Industrial). The engineer will be responsible for coordinating design, execution, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure efficient and reliable plant and building operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Coordination
- Manage execution of MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) related to HVAC, chilled water plants, utility systems, and IBMS integration.
- Oversee installation, testing & commissioning of central chiller plants, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, valves, piping, and controls.
- Integrate IBMS platforms (Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Delta, etc.) with chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical panels, and safety systems.
- Ensure project milestones are met as per schedule and budget.
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, consultants, and internal teams to achieve execution targets.
Technical & Design Review:
- Review MEP and IBMS design drawings, BOQ, equipment specifications, and shop drawings.
- Validate system architecture for BMS, HVAC, Chiller Plant Manager (CPM), SCADA/DCS, and utility monitoring systems.
- Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS codes, NBC, and international standards.
Quality & Safety Management
- Implement QA/QC checks for equipment installation, piping, cabling, and control systems.
- Enforce HSE practices during site execution in compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for critical systems.
Operations & Handover
- Conduct performance testing of chiller plants (COP, kW/TR, load tests) and IBMS dashboards.
- Optimize plant operation through automation, control strategies, and energy efficiency.
- Prepare O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and training sessions for facility teams.
- Support project handover to facility management teams with complete documentation.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, valves, and utility systems.
- Hands-on experience in IBMS integration (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks protocols).
- Project execution experience in Data Centers / Hospitals / Airports / Large Commercial Buildings.
- Familiarity with electrical panels, PLC/DCS, VFDs, UPS, DG, and power monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency standards & green building codes (LEED/IGBC).
- Expertise in project scheduling & reporting (Primavera/MS Project).
- Strong vendor management & stakeholder coordination.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Chiller Plant Manager (CPM) systems & optimization software.
- Experience with IoT/AI-based smart building platforms.
- Certifications in HVAC, IBMS, Energy Management, or Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2)
