Job Summary:
The BIM Engineer at iCRC will be responsible for the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies, processes, and workflows. This role involves collaborating with project teams to create and manage digital models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The BIM Engineer will work closely with architects, engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to support the successful completion of our projects.
Responsibilities:
1. BIM Implementation:
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement BIM protocols, strategies, and standards across all phases of a project.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of the BIM model, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with project requirements.
- Train team members on BIM software, methodologies, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and develpment.
2. Model Creation and Management:
- Use BIM software platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation) to create 3D, 4D, and 5D digital models of buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and manage BIM libraries, templates, and content, enhancing the efficiency and quality of project deliverables.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate their input into the BIM model, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration.
3. Clash Detection and Coordination:
- Conduct clash detection analysis to identify and resolve conflicts among architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to coordinate design changes and ensure consistency throughout the BIM model.
- Provide technical support during the pre-construction and construction phases, actively resolving conflicts and optimizing constructability.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate accurate BIM-related documentation, including design drawings, schedules, quantity take-offs, and construction documents.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on BIM progress, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommended improvements to project stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to BIM implementation, sharing knowledge within the organization.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience (X years) working on medium to large-scale construction or infrastructure projects as a BIM Engineer.
- Proficiency in BIM software platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation) and associated tools.
2. Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and systems.
- Familiarity with interoperability between BIM software and other project tools (e.g., CAD, scheduling software).
- Experience with clash detection analysis and resolution using BIM tools.
3. Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements.
