A Snapshot of Your Day
On a typical day in the Turbine Data Cloud (TDC) development team, you will be collaborating in an agile framework, like synchronizing in a daily standup call with the team on current tasks and user stories, to share your insights and consult each other on obstacles.
The TDC is managed by the Engineering Data Governance Team and acts as an enabler for different business cases for various departments.
In your position you will contribute to feature enhancements to improve the connectivity to various consuming applications. You will enhance the data processing flow and help to integrate the platform into a more global Siemens Energy data environment.
For that you will be collaborating with other projects team members to find common solutions to business requirements.
How You'll Make An Impact
By working towards a modernized and harmonized operational data platform you contribute to allowing a Siemens Energy wide user community to access and connect to the data of large Gas and Steam turbines, its confidential test campaigns and other assets like Synchronous condenser or Battery storage systems.
You will enable engineers to find analytic insights in the data and create options to simplify the workflows to work with different type of data sets.
As part of our team, you work on the implementation of complex and business critical IT applications. With the help of effective and modern cloud technologies you work on scalable and cost-effective solutions.
With a self-organized problem-solving mindset, you support the maintenance of infrastructure as well as planning and creation of new concepts that will be delivered into the projects incl. your own ideas.
What You Bring
General Skills
- Master's / bachelor's degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Architecture.
- Hands-on coding and software design experience
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Awareness of IT Security
Technical Skills
- Experience in cloud-based technologies like AWS (ec2, s3, lambda, API gateway)
- Proficient knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core
- Experience in designing, developing and hosting RESTful APIs in .NET
- Experience in testing APIs and unit tests
- Hands-on experience with additional technologies like Swagger, OpenAPI and
- Postman e.g.
- knowledge about CI/CD pipeline
- work experience in microservice architecture, solid principle and design patterns
- Experience with user authentication for web applications (e.g. Azure, OKTA, OAuth)
- Developer Experience with relational databases MS SQL. Experience with other databases nice to have

The IBS team provide solutions, applications, and platforms that acquire store and process data to be used to improve the operation and maintenance of power production, power distribution facilities and industrial facilities of all sizes this includes the development of data acquisition and storage systems, digital twins, analytic platforms and agents, artificial intelligent and machine learning applications, and algorithms.
As part of the Connectivity and Edge team we provide solutions for data acquisition, connectivity solutions and BoP monitoring technologies.
