Backend Developer (Python / AWS / Terraform)

Key Responsibilities

· Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.

• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and background workers.
• Architect and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Build and optimize data processing workflows using PySpark, AWS Glue.
• Integrate with databases, queues, and external services securely and efficiently.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for backend services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.

Core Skills

· Backend: Python, REST APIs, Microservices, DynamoDB, Authentication/Authorization

· Cloud & Infra: AWS (EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, Glue API Gateway, IAM, VPC), Terraform (IaC modules, remote state, multi-env).

· Data: PySpark, ETL/ELT concepts.

· DevOps: Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions / Jenkins), Docker, Dependency Management tools (Poetry, UV)

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

· Event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Kafka, Kinesis).

• Monitoring & observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
• Security (IAM best practices, secrets management, encryption at rest/in transit).
• Automated testing (pytest, unittest, integration, and contract testing).
