We're a globally distributed team, with most of our engineers based inAustralia and New Zealand. We're expanding into India to scale our platform capabilities.

The Role:

We're looking for aBackend Engineerto take over and extend an existing codebase that's already in production. You'll be joining a small, high-performing team and will have a solid foundation to build from not starting from scratch.

The ideal candidate is experienced withGo (Golang),TimescaleDB, andRedis, and can operate independently to maintain, optimise, and expand our core data systems.

A background indata engineeringor working with high-volume, real-time systems will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing Go-based backend system and continue development.
• Work withTimescaleDB(PostgreSQL) for time-series data management.
• Optimise caching and data pipelines usingRedis.
• Build, containerise, and deploy services usingDocker.
• Collaborate with the engineering team in AU/NZ to ensure smooth integration and system performance.
• Contribute to performance tuning, monitoring, and reliability improvements.

What We're Looking For

• 710 yearsof professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience withGo (Golang).
• Proven experience working withTimescaleDBorPostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding ofRedisandDocker.
• Having a background indata engineeringor managing event-driven, data-heavy systems is a big plus.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of ongoing projects.
