We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst SME with strong US Benefits Administration domain expertise. The role will support requirements analysis, solution design, stakeholder discussions, testing support, and delivery of US Benefits Administration initiatives across enrollment, eligibility, HRIS integrations, carrier feeds, and operational workflows.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for US Benefits Administration processes and best practices.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate requirement workshops and clarification sessions with business and delivery stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into practical and scalable functional solutions for US Benefits Administration programs.
- Provide functional expertise on eligibility rules, open enrollment, new hire enrollment, life events, dependent management, coverage administration, and termination scenarios.
- Review and validate requirement documents, solution designs, configuration inputs, and business process documents.
- Identify business gaps, functional risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities early in the delivery cycle.
- Collaborate with configuration, development, QA, implementation, and integration teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support integration discussions involving HRIS, payroll, carriers, TPAs, and other downstream systems.
- Support EDI 834 carrier file requirements, including enrollment, change, termination, dependent, and demographic updates.
- Review and validate custom file requirements, layouts, field mappings, transformation rules, and file generation logic.
- Support file testing activities such as sample file review, data validation, error analysis, and issue triage for EDI 834 and custom files.
- Participate in UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and business sign-off activities.
- Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to project teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in the US Benefits Administration domain.
- In-depth understanding of open enrollment, new hire enrollment, life events, dependent eligibility, employee eligibility, and coverage rules.
- Strong knowledge of US Benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, and voluntary US Benefits.
- Experience in business analysis, requirement elicitation, process mapping, and functional documentation.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, requirement traceability, and process workflows.
- Understanding of HRIS and US Benefits data management, including employee, dependent, eligibility, plan, coverage, and contribution data.
- Working knowledge of EDI 834 standards, carrier feed requirements, and common enrollment file scenarios.
- Experience working with custom files, including file layouts, data mapping, validation rules, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Required Skills
- Experience supporting US Benefits Administration implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
- Understanding of integrations between US Benefits Administration platforms, HR systems, payroll systems, carriers, and third-party administrators.
- Hands-on exposure to EDI 834 implementation, testing, carrier certification, and post-production support.
- Experience with custom inbound and outbound files, including HRIS files, payroll files, carrier files, and reporting extracts.
- Data analysis and validation experience using Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting QA teams with test scenario review, UAT support, and defect triage.
Preferred Skills
- Proven expertise in US Benefits Administration processes and operations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end enrollment and eligibility workflows.
- Ability to challenge requirements and recommend practical business solutions based on domain experience.
- Comfortable working with business, technology, QA, configuration, and integration teams.

- Ability to support complex US Benefits Administration programs from requirements through delivery and stabilization.
