We are looking to recruit Lead Platform Engineers who are hands-on, energetic and enthusiastic to join our like-minded team. We are looking for Technical Leaders who want to use their knowledge of the industry to shape the roadmap of our Platforms.

Your primary role as an Azure Lead platform engineer will be to lead a Product team for one of our platforms. You will need to understand the market, influence the roadmap and then design, deliver and maintain new and existing solutions with a strong focus on security, quality and DevSecOps practices.

Job Description

- Deliver cloud use cases based on defined architecture and framework.

- Develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Azure services, adhering to best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.

- Lead team of cloud engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to help them improve their skills and work effectively.

- Peer review code, ensuring it is of high quality, well-structured, and maintainable.

- Connect with Architects and business users to clarify any feature requirements.

- Identify necessary development tools and environment to accomplish project goals

- Execute the sprint plan based on feature release plan.

- First point of contact to interact with external teams.

- Conduct training for deployment and Operations teams on developed products.

- Implement security best practices, Identity and access management (IAM) policies, and encryption mechanisms in the product being developed, to ensure data protection and compliance with security standards.

Skill Requirement

Essential Technical Skills (all require 4yrs+ experience in production setting):

Expert in designing and building secure platforms on Azure using Well architected framework

Expert with Infrastructure as Code tooling (e.g. ARM, Bicep,Terraform, Pulumi)

Expert with Configuration Management tooling (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Expert setting up and administering Container Orchestration systems (e.g. EKS, AKS, OpenShift)

Expert with Container technologies (e.g. Helm, Harbour)

Expert with Build & Release Automation (e.g. Jenkins, ArgoCD, Flux, SonarQube)

Expert with Coding Languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell, Go)

Expert working with distributed source control solutions and following best practices e.g. Git, branching, pull requests

Must have Azure Developer and Solution Architect Certification

Desirable:

Experience with Cloud Networking

Experience administering Operating Systems

Experience setting up and administering observability tooling

Experience of Agile and Product based Delivery

Experience of Good Coding Patterns & Practices
