Organizational Overview:This team is responsible forapplication support ofthe Governance, Risk and Compliance and Regulatory Reporting applications.

Role Summary/Purpose:Working under the general direction of the Site Reliability Engineer.The application support engineer works collaboratively with functional administrators, DBAs, Wintel team, network team etc., This person is responsible formonitoring the overall health of applications and take necessary steps to remediate any issues. This person should execute and support all the releases and upgrades required on timely basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade and configure Bwise hotfixes/versions for smooth functioning of the application.

  • Execute monthly Bwise releases and supporting systems.

  • Familiar with and follow process for Agile Kanban model of day-to-day support.

  • Bwise Application Management (like Clustering, Load Balancing, Licensing etc.).

  • Responsible for supporting/enhance existing eGRC applications in Bwise.

  • Develop new GRC models as per new regulatory requirements and standards.

  • Responsible to ensure DR testing runs smoothly with the help of DR monitoring tools. Constantly looking for ways to protect more applications, and to do it more economically with less downtime.

  • Responsible for all data load using optimized methods. The data will be provided by business.

  • Convert the data provided by business team into loadable format. Responsible for choosing appropriate tool and fixing any issues during data load. The issue can be data format, data, data loading tool or application. Associate will have to work with vendor/Bwise team or any other in case of serious issues.

  • Develop and execute performance scripts using Jmeter in lower environments before moving any new module, new service peck or new hotfix to production.

  • Manage the application's users, groups, roles and integration with Active Directory.

  • Identifying problem, primary analysis of problem and raising a ticket if required. Working across application clusters for Admin related activities like taking backup of server, Site creation, User addition, Server Upgrade, help users to debug their issues/queries and Enhancements based on the aligned technology stream.

  • Coordinate with business and other stakeholders on maintenance schedules.

  • Restart windows and reporting servers as and when required. Troubleshoot if applications are not running

  • as per schedule. Support releases and patches with coordination from Vendor.

  • Providing the day-to-day support for applications that are deployed to the Production environment.

  • Providing technical guidance and support for various points of integration with other technologies and capabilities.

  • Automate monitoring & server job processes using HPA, BPM, Splunk, Selenium and SiteScope toolsand responsibility will be to analyze business requirements in various business functional areas and translate them into conceptual, logical and physical data models.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum4+ years experience with application support.

  • Proficient in database scripting,Jmeter and Selenium.

  • Rigorous data analysis through SQL in Oracle and various Cloud Native technologies.

  • Familiar with Splunk and Newrelic monitoring tools.

  • Proficient in AWS cloud environment.

  • Familiarity with JIRA (Agile) and Confluence tools.

  • Familiar with ITIL (ServiceNow) methodology.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Background in Financial Services.

  • Hands-on experience writing shell scripts, complex SQL queries, Hive scripts, Hadoop commands and Git

  • Experience with BWise modules.

  • Experience with AXIOM (Regulatory reporting) application.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master's / Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics) and Information Technology experience. Or in lieu of a degree 6+years of experience in Information Technology experience.

  • Mandatory Skill set :SQL, Jmeter, Selenium, Windows OS, Java, Python.

WorkTiming: 02:00PM to 11:00PM(IST)

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
