Job Description
- Manage month-end financial close activities and support regulatory and management reporting processes.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account substantiation, ageing analysis, and issue resolution.
- Act as the key finance liaison for technology, systems, and business stakeholders on process enhancements and system-related initiatives.
- Support project planning, implementation, and delivery of finance transformation initiatives.
- Drive operational readiness, automation initiatives, and efficiency improvements across finance processes.
- Provide finance subject matter expertise for product launches and system enhancement requests.
- Support governance, controls, and end-user computing (EUC) frameworks within Finance Operations.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful AVP - Finance Operations Should Have
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Min 4+ years of Finance Operations experience, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Experience in financial close, reconciliations, and finance controls.
- Exposure to finance transformation, system implementation, or process improvement projects.
- Knowledge of commission and distribution accounting would be advantageous.
- Experience with automation and reporting tools such as Alteryx or similar platforms is beneficial.
