AUTO WORKSHOP FOREMAN

Required Qualifications

* ITI or diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

* Minimum 15-20 years of experience in automotive workshop maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Key Responsibilities of Auto Workshop Foreman.

* Coordinate daily workshop activities and manpower allocation.

* Assign repair and maintenance jobs to mechanics based on skill level, workload, and priority.

* Diagnose complex vehicle problems and provide technical guidance to mechanics.

* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic faults in vehicles and equipment.

* Monitor repair quality and ensure all work is completed by company standards.

* Prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize vehicle downtime.

* Review job cards, inspection reports, and repair records for accuracy and completeness.

* Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.

* Train, mentor, and develop mechanics and technicians to improve technical competency.

* Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and workshop housekeeping standards.

* Coordinate with supervisors and manager regarding vehicle status and maintenance requirements.

* Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

* Experience working on fleets including Scania, Volvo, MAN, Isuzu, Hino, UD Trucks, Sinotruck, Hyundai, Kobelco, JCB, Sany, and other major brands.
