The Special Situations Group is looking to hire an Associate in Debt Advisory. The practice provides end-to-end services to lenders, sponsors, investors in the areas of sell-side and buy-side resolution advisory, Debt resolution, fund raising, debt refinancing, restructuring services, asset monitoring and Insolvency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Some of the key areas of work would include:

  • The person would be responsible for supporting the Manager in the execution of assignments including analysis and development of business models, sector-level assessment, primary and secondary research for debt/resolution advisory process.
  • To support the entire transaction cycle including preparation of teasers, Information Memorandums, Investor reach outs & query resolutions, term sheet negotiation, deal structuring, client relationships etc.
  • To take onus of identified modules, tasks in the engagement and take responsibility to close them out with minimum supervision.
  • Deep dive into key parameters and obtain in depth understanding on industry performance, analyze industry benchmarks, peer/competitor analysis, historical company trends to build inputs for modelling and relative comparison.
  • Keep abreast of new deal structures and related regulatory environment and analyse and envisage new/ key industry trends
  • Understand KPMG's offering in detail and ensure that the same is clearly communicated to clients during relevant interactions.
  • Evaluate economic and legal risks to the Firm arising out of engagements, and adhere to firm's policies on risk management and independence
  • Assist in Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process & Liquidation advisory as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code
  • Analyze financial statements of the companies and identify issues for assisting the team to pitch potential advisory services and assist in research work.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Be a qualified CA or hold an MBA degree from a reputed institute.
  • EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Relevant experience in due diligence, Statutory audit, management consulting and deal advisory services would be desirable.
    • Business writing and presentation skills both oral and written help promote clarity and also present persuasive options.
    • Strong operational experience in finance and accounts, including financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point to analyze data, create reports, and deliver impactful business insights.
    • Knowledge of restructuring laws, regulations and processes including CDR, Insolvency laws, etc. will be an added advantage.
