Job Title: Associate Product Manager

Seniority Level: Senior Level

Years of Relevant Experience: 6+ Years

Department: Software

Reporting Organization: SecureLoad

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Kochi

Job Summary

We are looking for Associate Product Managers who will help with driving the delivery of multiple products under SecureLoad. This role is built for someone who can wear three hats: the rigor of a Senior Business Analyst, the facilitation discipline of a Scrum Master, and the ownership instinct of a product manager in the making.

You'll sit at the center of a cross-functional team, translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements, keeping sprints running smoothly, and helping the team ship predictable, high-quality releases. If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity and connecting the why of the business with the how of engineering, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Business analysis & requirements

  • Elicit, analyze, and document requirements from internal stakeholders, clients, and domain experts, turning them into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Break down complex features into well-scoped, estimable work items.
  • Maintain a groomed, prioritized backlog and ensure every item entering development has clear scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Produce supporting artefacts — process flows, requirement specs, and reference documentation — that keep a mixed technical/non-technical audience aligned.

Scrum & delivery facilitation

  • Facilitate the full set of Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Own sprint hygiene in the team's issue tracker— estimates, assignments, states, and spent-time tracking.
  • Track velocity, burndown, and delivery health; surface risks and blockers early and drive them to resolution.

Product & stakeholder management

  • Partner with Product & Engineering Lead to shape the roadmap and connect day-to-day delivery to broader OKRs.
  • Act as the communication bridge between engineering, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Help coordinate releases end-to-end, including release planning, readiness checks, and post-release follow-up.
  • Contribute to reporting for leadership — sprint and delivery metrics, status updates, and progress against objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or in a similar delivery-focused role, with a track record of shipping software products.
  • Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills — the ability to turn fuzzy asks into clear, actionable specs.
  • Hands-on experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies and managing sprints in a tracker (YouTrack, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable translating between business and technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is a plus
  • Experience in the maritime industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with business process modelling tools and/or programming languages

Key Competencies

  • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team to achieve high performance.
  • Analytical Thinking: Expertise in analysing complex data to drive business decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying issues and effectively managing resolutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle a dynamic environment, balancing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in all aspects of documentation, testing, and data analysis.
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
