Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a Data Center environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems including UPS, DG sets, transformers, HT/LT systems, switchgear, and associated critical facilities equipment.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain critical electrical infrastructure to ensure 24x7 uptime of the Data Center.
- Operate and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, UPS systems, DG sets, STS, ATS, PDUs, and battery banks.
- Perform routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor electrical parameters through BMS/DCIM systems and take corrective actions when required.
- Conduct daily inspections and prepare shift reports, maintenance records, and incident reports.
- Support electrical switching operations and planned shutdown activities following approved SOPs and MOPs.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Analyze electrical faults and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.
- Ensure prompt response and resolution of alarms, breakdowns, and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with OEMs and service vendors during maintenance and breakdown activities.
- Monitor energy consumption and support energy efficiency initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, electrical safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Follow permit-to-work (PTW), LOTO, and change management procedures.
- Participate in emergency response drills and business continuity exercises.
- Maintain documentation related to audits, maintenance schedules, and compliance requirements.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Manage AMC vendors and contractors for electrical systems.
- Verify service reports, maintenance activities, and spare inventory.
- Maintain critical spares and ensure availability of consumables.
- Support annual maintenance contracts and vendor performance reviews.
