About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Associate Director – Sales & Operations to support the growth of our Singapore business. This role is ideal for an ambitious payment professional who combines strong business development capabilities with operational excellence and enjoys working in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will be responsible for expanding our network of Financial Institution (FI) partners, Money Services Businesses (MSBs), Banks, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and other regulated financial institutions while also supporting the day-to-day operational management of our Singapore business including the retail branches.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone looking to take the next step in their career with significant exposure to regional and global payment corridors.

• Salary: SGD 98,400 per annum (plus performance-based incentives, where applicable).

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development & Sales

• Develop and execute strategies to acquire new Financial Institution (FI), MSB, Bank, PSP and fintech partners.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners – both for the retail as well as institutional business.
• Lead commercial discussions, presentations and negotiations with prospective customers.
• Identify opportunities to expand payment corridors and introduce new products and services.
• Work closely with internal product, compliance and operations teams to onboard new partners efficiently.
• Represent the Company at industry conferences, networking events and client meetings.
• Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.

Operations & Business Management

• Support the day-to-day operations of the Singapore business.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of services.
• Monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements.
• Assist in managing key client relationships following implementation.
• Prepare management reports, sales forecasts and business updates.
• Support the implementation of new products, corridors and strategic initiatives.

Compliance & Risk

• Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure all business activities comply with MAS regulations and internal policies.
• Ensure appropriate customer due diligence and onboarding processes are followed.
• Support internal governance, audit and regulatory initiatives where required.
• Help maintain internal compliance policies, procedures and operational controls.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance and operational excellence.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years experience within cross border payments / remittance / foreign exchange sectors.

• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales within the payments industry, engaging with regulators, auditors, banking partners and compliance functions

• Good understanding of cross-border payments, correspondent banking, remittance or payment infrastructure.

• Experience working with regulated Financial Institutions, MSBs, Banks or PSPs.

• Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, team management and relationship management skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Highly organised with strong execution and project management skills.

• Ability to operate independently and drive strategic and commercial outcomes with limited supervision

• Existing industry network within Singapore or the wider Asia-Pacific region would be advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading in a licensed Major Payment Institution (MPI) or other MAS-regulated payment services business

• CAMS, ICA Advanced Certificate, ICA Diploma, ACAMS, AML, Compliance or Risk Management certifications

• Experience launching, scaling or managing a country operation or regional business unit

• Experience working with correspondent banking relationships and international payment networks

• Regional experience across Asia-Pacific payment corridors would be advantageous
