Job Description

Role & Responsibilities Overview

  • Designing interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI/SSRS or excel integrating MS Access Database
  • Writing complex DAX expressions for custom measures and calculations, use MS Access forms, macros, modules (including VBA automations) for further custom report generation
  • Configuring scheduled data refresh and Power BI Gateways, Implementing Row Level Security
  • Connecting to various data sources (SQL Server, ODBC, Excel, APIs, etc.) for d ata extraction from relational databases and external sources
  • Create, modify and test various SQL queries, Access/VBA Macros, Stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
  • Leverage SQL/SSIS code as part of an ETL process to support report development on PowerBI or help support with necessary enhancement
  • Develop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL to automate report refresh or data views
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
  • 5+ years in analytics (Preferably with Insurance and Reserving)
  • Must have experience in reporting tools like MS Access, VBA, PBI and good advance SQL skills
  • Must have experience in using ETL tools like SSIS or Azure etc.
  • Good to have experience in SSRS, Excel , SSAS
  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
  • Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
