Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist in managing the overall store operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely material availability, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a roll forming manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in daily operations of the store and warehouse.
  • Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure timely updating in ERP systems.
  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the production and purchase departments for material requirements and availability.
  • Monitor and ensure proper material handling, labeling, and storage practices.
  • Supervise loading/unloading operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on stock levels, material movement, and wastage.
  • Assist in implementing lean inventory management practices to reduce non-moving and excess stock.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal audit requirements.
  • Support in training and monitoring store staff for efficient workflow and discipline.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and store management.
  • Experience in ERP (SAP / Tally / other store management software).
  • Understanding of roll forming materials such as coils, steel sheets, fasteners, and consumables.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 68 years of experience in store management within a roll forming / metal fabrication / manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of inventory management tools and MS Office is essential.
