Job Purpose
To assist in managing the overall store operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely material availability, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a roll forming manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations of the store and warehouse.
- Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure timely updating in ERP systems.
- Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the production and purchase departments for material requirements and availability.
- Monitor and ensure proper material handling, labeling, and storage practices.
- Supervise loading/unloading operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain reports on stock levels, material movement, and wastage.
- Assist in implementing lean inventory management practices to reduce non-moving and excess stock.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal audit requirements.
- Support in training and monitoring store staff for efficient workflow and discipline.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and store management.
- Experience in ERP (SAP / Tally / other store management software).
- Understanding of roll forming materials such as coils, steel sheets, fasteners, and consumables.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 68 years of experience in store management within a roll forming / metal fabrication / manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management tools and MS Office is essential.
