Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager Sales to drive health insurance sales, lead a high-performing team, and ensure consistent revenue growth. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of the health insurance ecosystem, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for health insurance.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive conversions and channel performance.
- Manage key customer accounts and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 1012 sales executives to achieve individual and team KPIs.
- Conduct regular training sessions on product knowledge, sales skills, and objection handling.
- Monitor daily performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Business Development
- Identify new market opportunities and build strong relationships with distributors, agents, and corporate clients.
- Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, underwriting) to support business growth.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Track sales metrics and maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline status.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on team performance, revenue forecast, and market insights.
- Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 610 years of experience in health insurance sales (agency, banca, direct, or corporate).
- Demonstrated experience in handling a sales team of 1012 members.
- Strong understanding of health insurance products, underwriting basics, and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track numbers and derive insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working with leading health insurance companies or brokers.
- Proven record of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
