JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading the order engineering team by providing guidance to his/her team, monitoring and checking the daily output of the team and setting the KRAs and monitoring the performance while helping the team to resolve challenges they face both internally and externally.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the Order engineering function
  • Monitor the day-to-day functioning of the Order Engineering function by reviewing the backlog with the team members and assigning work to the respective engineers depending on their current workload and experience level. Setting priority for orders depending on the request from Sales, PM and CS teams.

  • Give proper guidance to the Order Engineering Engineers on new products and technical requirements based on the inputs received from AE, Operations and Product Engineering team. Support the team to remove roadblocks on order engineering by working with Sales and Application Engineering.
  • Work with Operations, QC, Application Engineering, PM and CS teams to promptly resolve assembly issues.
  • Identifying the root cause of errors and ensure that the errors and way to avoid them are made known to the whole team for their benefit
  • Set up KRAs for each of the team members in consultation with the functional leader and monitor their performance. Provide support to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions for issues.

  • Assess the performance of his/her reportees and provide regular performance feedback.

  • Training and development of the team.
  • Drive implementation of automation and drive continuous improvement actions to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Good collaborative skills to work with other departments and Emerson functions outside the company to ensure that the requirements of the team and the enterprise are met

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in the following engineering disciplines - Mechanical/Chemical/ Instrumentation or related discipline.

  • Knowledge and experience of minimum 10 years in Control Valve industry.

  • Excellent communication, people management and problem-solving skills is mandatory.

  • Thorough knowledge about Fisher products and processes including quality requirements.
  • Deep knowledge on materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Process knowledge about valve manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the necessary skills to effectively utilize technology and systems specific to the work.
