Basic Function- Prepare / review monthly, quarterly & annual journal entries
- Review of data / input gathered from various sources and suppliers to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Prepare/ review Income Statement/ Balance Sheet reconciliations and perform tie outs and variance/ aging analysis
- Assist in oversight and review before final sign off
- Assist with data request, collaboration during internal/external audits
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of daily, monthly and periodic processing as per business requirement
- Act as a point of escalation for any operational issue for assigned BUs
Desired Skill Sets, Work Experience & Other Requirements - Qualified/Semi-qualified accountant/Masters in Finance with 6+ years of experience in Accounting and Reporting)
- Knowledge and expertise in the insurance industry
- Good understanding of GAAP & STAT rules governing the business
- Expertise in Bank and cash reconciliation.
Hands on experience of working on Oracle and MS office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with several stakeholders
- Comprehension skills should be able to read and interpret business documents
