Goodrich Maritime is looking for a candidate with a sound understanding of international trade regulations, import/export documentation, and customs procedures. The ideal candidate should possess excellent coordination and communication skills to effectively liaise with customers, shipping lines, customs brokers, transporters, and overseas agents. They should be capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely execution and operational efficiency. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, along with good negotiation skills to coordinate with carriers and vendors, are essential. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with ERP or logistics management systems will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Handle complete door-to-door sea export shipments (FCL / LCL) including documentation, booking, and delivery.
- Manage cross trade shipments (third-country shipments) from origin to final destination.
- Coordinate with overseas agents for origin handling, documentation, and execution.
- Plan and execute multimodal shipments (factory to port, port to port, last-mile delivery).
- Act as a single point of contact for key customers.
- Provide shipment updates, resolve operational issues, and ensure service excellence.
- Ensure accuracy in Shipping Bills, BLs (MBL/HBL), invoices, packing lists, and other export documents.
- Handle cross trade documentation including switch BL, third-party invoicing, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with pricing team to secure competitive freight rates.
- Monitor shipment profitability and ensure margin targets are achieved.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain shipment records, billing status, and operational reports.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, or any related field.
