We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

.CA/CPA with a couple of years of experience.

.CWA / MBA Finance with relevant experience.

.Experience in Financial Reporting is required.

.Robust accounting knowledge.

.Knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP is required.

.Insurance/reinsurance experience is preferable.

.Knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar large general ledger systems.

.Good MS Excel and Access skills.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

.Preparation of quarterly and yearly regulatory returns as per APRA for Australian insurance entities.

.Responsible for supporting statutory audit requirements and related queries.

.Providing and reconciling data for external Actuarial requirements every quarter.

.Processing and reconciliation of all accounted data balances.

.Posting/reconciling of the JEs (if required) from CORE to the Local ledger for reporting and reconciliation.

.Compile data and perform financial analysis to ensure data completeness and accuracy in P&L and Balance Sheet between underwriting and financial accounting system.

.Maintain accuracy in both Core and Local ledgers and provide support to all work papers.

.Oversee expense management and good oversight of accrual, prepayment, recharge, and intercompany balances.

.Resolve any intercompany differences historical as well incremental for the Australian entity.

.Prepare other regulatory and ad-hoc reports and disclosures for management as identified.
