Assistant Manager – Finance

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager - Finance is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, audits, and internal controls for the manufacturing plant. The role ensures timely book closure, accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory and group requirements, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants, bankers, and the corporate finance team

Qualification

  • Qualified CA with 0-2 years of experience or Semi-qualified CA with 5-6 years of experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

  • Manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Coordinate monthly and periodic book closures.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, MIS, and Trial Balance uploads.
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and support stock verification activities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management and group finance teams.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan activities.
  • Analyse financial performance and highlight key business insights.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and finance processes.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.

Audit & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for timely audit completion.
  • Liaise with consultants, bankers, and cross-functional teams on finance-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial records and documentation.

Skills Required

  • Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge (IGAAP).
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Good understanding of internal controls and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Exposure to audits, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Team management experience will be an added advantage
