About the Role:
The Asst. Manager Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing various accounting routines, internal audits, and ensuring statutory compliance within the finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting Routines
- Verify Day Book entries for the region on a weekly basis.
- Ensure project billing is completed within 24 hours of receiving inputs from Projects/PMO.
- Conduct weekly verification of subcontractor bills for accuracy and compliance.
- Internal Audit of Expenses
- Review and audit conveyance bills submitted by employees.
- Verify and process employee reimbursement claims.
- Audit travel expense bills of employees with proper documentation and approvals.
- Statutory Compliances
- Ensure timely monthly filing of GSTR for the Hyderabad region.
- Assist in the audit of GST returns for all regions of the company.
- Verify TCS and TDS deductions for all transactions in the Hyderabad region.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform vendor account reconciliations periodically.
- Follow up on collections of project invoices to support timely cash inflow.
- Conduct material reconciliation for projects in coordination with relevant departments.
- Verify and process bank payments (RTGS, PDCs) ensuring accuracy and authorization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce / accounting / finance (M.Com / MBA Finance preferred).
- Prior experience in project billing and vendor management will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, TCS).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional interaction.
