Le/ Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities -

Assistant Manager / Lead Assistant Manager

  • AM / LAM is primarily responsible for the planning of engagements, managing clients account, gathering validating and evaluating client information generating tax compliance products and assuring quality. Serve as a point of contact for the engagements, also act as a counsellor for assistant manager.
  • Thorough knowledge in US Individual (Form 1040) and Trust (Form 1041) to handle the team.
  • People management skills with demonstrated ability to build a transparent and cohesive teamwork.
  • Ability to support recruitment activity.

Process Management

  • Planning and Training - Planning for the tax season, recruitment and training to new staff members (Preparers) on theoretical and software training. Providing advanced level training to all the existing tax resources (Reviewers).
  • Work papers and Training Guidelines - Responsible for preparing Tax preparation guidelines based on current law changes as per IRS every year. Responsible for preparing various training materials for both theoretical and software training as per the client requirement.
  • Preparation and Review of Tax Returns Preparation and Review of the US Individual tax returns and US trust tax returns (Form 1040, Form 1041) prepared by preparers and giving them feedback on the quality of the return as a whole and the areas that the preparers need to improve on.
  • Performance Manager Providing Guidance to teams and individuals on their performance on monthly and quarterly for up skilling their performance simultaneously.
  • Meet the client deliverables as per the scope of the work and deadlines set and maintain quality of all deliverables.
  • To work on the feedback received from QA and improve on quality

Client Management

  • Managing regular client calls (Weekly and Monthly). Generating billing invoice to client and provide various reports as and when required by client.
  • Manage the day to day client deliverables.
  • Managing client engagement, including staffing and engagement economics.
  • Focus on establishing relationships with the client personnel (Internal /External) at appropriate level which consistently delivering exceptional client service
  • Communicate with the client regularly for a smooth tax season.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations and information security standards.

Competencies & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.com)/Post Graduate Degree (MBA/ M.Com/ICWA/CA Inter) from an accredited university.
  • 5-12 Years of Experience in US Individual Taxation and US Corporate taxation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US Individual (Form 1040), and Trust returns (Form 1041) to handle the team.
  • Ability to manage work independently and manage larger teams. Contributes to the development and improvement of processes, guidelines, training and policy manuals.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Good networking capability and Client facing skills.
