Role: QA Engineer / Senior QA Automation Engineer
Experience: 4-10 Years
Domain: Product QA / SaaS / Platform Engineering (e.g., ThreadSpan)

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong automation and product-quality mindset to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the ThreadSpan product (or similar platform-based solution).

The role requires ownership of QA strategy, automation, and end-to-end product quality, working closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Quality Ownership

• Own end-to-end QA for product features/modules
• Understand product architecture and workflows deeply
• Design and execute test strategies across releases
• Act as a quality gatekeeper for production deployments

2. QA Strategy & Planning

• Define QA strategy for functional, regression, performance, and security testing
• Identify test coverage gaps and drive improvements
• Implement shift-left testing practices
• Collaborate with product managers for acceptance criteria validation
• Introduce best practices for test lifecycle management

3. Test Automation

• Design and develop robust automation frameworks
• Build reusable automation for:
  • UI (Web/Mobile)
  • API testing
  • Integration testing
• Maintain CI/CD-integrated automation pipelines
• Ensure high test coverage and low maintenance cost
• Optimize test execution time and reliability

4. Functional & Non-Functional Testing

• Perform:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integration testing
  • Exploratory testing
• Support performance testing, scalability testing, and reliability validation
• Validate product behavior across environments

.5. Defect Management & Release Support

• Identify, track, and manage defects with clear root cause analysis
• Work with developers for quick resolution
• Support production releases with:
  • Smoke testing
  • Release validation
  • Post-release monitorin

Required Skills & Experience

Core QA Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
• Experience in product-based QA environments
• Hands-on in:
  • Test case design
  • Test planning
  • Defect lifecycle management

Automation Skills

• Strong experience in test automation frameworks
• Programming skills in:
  • Java / Python / JavaScript
• Tools experience:
  • Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
  • REST API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
• Automation framework design experience is a plus

API & Backend Testing

• Strong experience testing REST APIs
• Knowledge of:
  • JSON/XML validation
  • API mocking tools
• Exposure to microservices architecture
