About the team

The Logistics Procurement team at Flipkart is dynamic and on hands approach team. The team handles procurement for transportation needs of Flipkart from First mile, to Mid Mile and Last mile including procurement of warehousing services and transportation services in multiple cost models as per need of the organization.

About the Role:

  • Candidate should have knowledge of end to end procurement such as sourcing, negotiation, cost savings, spend management, vendor management, contracting, PR/PO, vendor scouting etc.
  • Preferable to have prior Logistics procurement experience in ecommerce or large scale retail organizations.
  • Person should have at least intermediate level proficiency in MS Office tools such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Google Suite such as Google Sheets.
  • Person should have knowledge of transportation costing such as warehousing, per trip model transportation, per km model transportation, fixed + variable model transportation costing, cost per unit transportations costing etc.
  • Person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience of working on resourcing tools such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Fusion, GEP, Zycus etc will be preferred.

To succeed in this role you should have the following:

  • Any Degree with 4-8 years of experience, Acute understanding of cost and implications of market factors on pricing movement in a geography for inland transportation.
  • Stakeholder management skills to support stakeholders and execution agility.
  • Prompt hands on approach to enable business needs swiftly and ensure best supply of transportation services at the best cost.
