Qualification & Experience:

BE/MEinMechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Robotics

8to15years of relevant experience in design and development of automation equipment,

special-purpose machines, or vision-based systems

Atleast 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role leading design teams

Technical & Domain Requirements:

Strong expertise in design of automation systems, vision inspection machines, and optical

auto-sorting machines.

Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar)

In-depth knowledge of machine vision systems, sensors, actuators, and

pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Understanding of metrology, CNC machinery, and industrial automation standards.

Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)

Knowledge of relevant safety and statutory standards for industrial machinery

Additional Requirements:

Strong leadership and team management skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English, Hindi, and local language

Proficiency in MS Office and management tools

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership & Strategy

Lead the design and development of vision inspection machines, optical auto-sorting

machines, and special-purpose automation equipment.

Define design standards, processes, and best practices for the engineering team.

Drive innovation in product design to improve performance, accuracy, and reliability.

Ensure designs meet customer requirements, quality standards, and cost targets.

2. Team Management&Collaboration

Lead andmentorateamofdesign engineers and drafters.

Coordinate with sales, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth product

development lifecycle.

Conduct regular design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.

Provide technical guidance and resolve design challenges.

3. Project & Product Development

Managetimelines, deliverables, and resources for multiple design projects.

Collaborate with product management to define new product features and improvements.

Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.

Ensure design changes are documented and implemented effectively.

4. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety norms, and customer

specifications.

Implement quality control measures in design processes.

Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for design-related issues in the field.
