Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Area Sales Manager, based on-site in Kolkata. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance in the assigned region, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets. Daily tasks include building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, monitoring market trends, managing a sales team, providing necessary training and direction, and preparing sales reports. The role requires an emphasis on customer satisfaction and achieving measurable growth for the company.
Qualifications
- Sales and Negotiation skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Team Management and Leadership experience in guiding and motivating sales teams
- Market Research and Strategic Planning skills to analyze trends and develop effective strategies
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients and team members
- Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools, as well as familiarity with CRMs
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting market conditions
- Knowledge or experience in the agro-machinery industry is a strong advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
