Job Description

About this Position As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion within your assigned territory. You will lead a team of sales officers/executives, manage key accounts, and execute strategies to achieve business targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.

What Youll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and maximize market share within the assigned area.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales officers / executives. Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and performance management to ensure high levels of productivity and engagement.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and business partners. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats. Adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management. Track and analyze sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Promotional Activities: Coordinate with marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and in-store events to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

What makes you a good fit

  • 4+ years of experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Pharma sales, with at least 2 years in a team-leading role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
