Role Description The Architect/Interior Designer will work full time on site at Narah – The Design House in Chennai, collaborating with the team to design and deliver bespoke residential and lifestyle interiors. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing architectural and interior design concepts, preparing drawings and 3D visualizations, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with artisans and vendors to realize design intent. The role involves visiting project sites, taking measurements, creating layouts, and ensuring that designs are functional, aesthetically aligned with the brand, and feasible within budget and timelines. The Architect/Interior Designer will also support project planning, client presentations, and documentation throughout the design and execution process.
Qualifications
•Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate client requirements into clear, buildable concepts.
- Experience with design-related Software Development and Integration, including proficiency in CAD/BIM tools and visualization software.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with vendors and artisans, and on-site follow-up.
- Relevant degree in Architecture or Interior Design, or equivalent professional training.
- Portfolio showcasing residential or lifestyle projects, with an emphasis on bespoke, handcrafted, or detail-oriented work.
- Strong visual and spatial sense, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a small, multidisciplinary team.
- Comfort working on site in Chennai, with willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage respectfully with clients, colleagues, and local artisans.
