Role: Architect for Functional-Safety Software
Job Location : Whitefield, Bangalore
Is a contributor to Safety Engineering and System Engineering
Acts as a SW architect : Develops SW requirement and SW architecture
Acts as a SW leader : Manages the tasks for the detailed design and validation, and with downstream V-cycle activities
Builds the growth of safety-relevant SW Mtier
Realizes and supervises documentation, which is part of the ISO 26262 deliverables and has a legal value.
Shall ensure compliance with the Functional Safety Development process and the ISO 26262 norm in all activities.
Responsibilities & Activities
The tools, scope and balance between the different responsibilities depend on each project.
Ensures compliance with R&D process and quality policy.
Ensures compliance with Functional Safety process (according to ISO 26262), for all the tasks in his/her scope.
Makes presentations about the SW functions & the safety-SW development process, internally & to OEM technical teams
Integrated Management System (IMS)
Outline the key responsibilities for this position in regards of Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety, Environment)
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
Engineering degree in control, system engineering, mechatronics, computer engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, for the development of SW for safety-relevant systems
Fluent in English. Fluent in French is a strong plus.
Job Technical skills
Mandatory :
Strong knowledge and experience of safety-related methods and processes:
o ISO 262626 standard and/or other functional safety standards
o Software development methods for safety-relevant SW, usual best practices for development, requirements management, traceability, validation, toolchain
o Safety engineering tools (HAZOP, HARA, FMEA and FTA)
Strong knowledge and experience in Embedded SW development:
o Model-based development, auto-code generation and integration, simulation, testing (MATLAB/Simulink)
o C, real-time systems
o AUTOSAR-based development, and Basic-Software configuration (especially VECTOR MICROSAR) and SW development/validation toolchains (especially VECTOR CANoe, VTestStudio)
Experience/background in related field(s): control systems, signal processing, electronics design, sensors and actuators, control/automation, system modelization
Experience/hands-on knowledge which are a strong plus:
Automotive Functional Safety Certification by certification bodies (TV, UL) is a strong plus
Formal engineering methods such as UML/SyML
Automotive diagnosis OBDII (EOBD, CARB) and homologation framework
