Job Description

You will play a crucial role in managing and configuring the Teamcenter PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system within our organization. You will work with a cross-functional, cross-continental group of IT infrastructure and software engineers to support value creation in a global R&D organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Siemens Teamcenter system.
  • Apply system patches and follow the organizational and industry cyber-security standards. Manage user access and security.
  • Administer the underlying database system in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity. Enable high-performance connectivity between long distance locations.
  • Keep the system up to date. Work with soft ware development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to plan and execute upgrades and migrations.
  • Investigate and resolve system-related issues promptly, including end user support within cross-functional, cross-continental R&D organization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to system configurations and processes.
  • Proactively monitor systems, driving consistent availability.
  • Maintain and enhance disaster recovery plans.
  • Regular work in CET time zone hours. Production-environment changes outside of the business working hours.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in administering Teamcenter or similar PLM system.
  • Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter software is highly desirable.
  • Experience in one of the following domains would be an advantage: remote access systems, CAD infrastructure, AWS infrastructure, DevSecOps.

Skills & Abilities

  • Basic scripting skills (one of popular languages: powershell or python).
  • Using and administering variety of operating systems (Windows, Windows Server and Linux).
  • Excellent planning and troubleshooting skills. Proactive in managing issues and problems, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • ITIL certification or similar. User-level experience with ticketing and monitoring systems.
  • Efficient communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to timely, high quality and error free deliverables.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
