Application Support/Production Support

Job Description


  • Work as a Sr member of Production Application Support team providing support to both clients & end users, facilitating issue resolution, and supporting batch operations
  • Works independently and resourceful to seek assistance when needed Participates in systems development and technology integration projects, using technology tools and techniques
  • Sets high standards for own work and ensure high quality outcomes are achieved
  • Prepares project estimates and schedules of project activities as required
  • Sets realistic and achievable expectations for deliverables
  • Ensures effective work habits including punctuality, responsiveness and accessibility to others
  • Takes initiative to ensure the required number of billable hours is achieved
  • Provides timely feedback to team members on matters related to technology development and team interaction
  • Works effectively as a member of the IT Group
  • Is available to provide off-hours support, as required
  • Promotes team work and collegiality in the work environment
  • Promotes as the service provider of choice in the industry
  • Attends internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
  • Assists with special projects and other tasks, as required.
  • Can lead a team of 3 to 5 Analysts

  • BE, BTech or a bachelor degree in computer science with equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in IT support and/or technical services
  • Experience in MS Windows environment, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, VBScript, C#, .NET


  • Working knowledge of hardware, systems software and utilities, network communications,
  • database technology, project management and computer operations
  • Team player with very good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to be a leader and an agent for change
  • Basic understanding of negotiation, conflict management and risk management skills

Skills Needed: Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, VBScript, C#, .NET Framework, IIS, Web Services, Troubleshooting, Triage, SQL, Database, IIS, Windows Servers, Application Support, Monitoring Tools (Spotlight, Alertsite, Nagios, Datadog)

Education and Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and client handling skills are must.
