Role
Address technical issues relating to software implementation, function and upgrades. Resolve customer complaints or problems and create product problem reports and troubleshooting documents for each issue. Work closely with application support and development teams to identify and resolve any technical problems that might arise during the development of software.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Address customer concerns and issues regarding our SaaS web-based application
- Document complaint reports and troubleshooting steps
- Assist software developers to resolve technical issues during the software development process
- Understand customer concerns, data, and processes to identify appropriate code or data-based solutions.
- Deliver solutions that are robust and stable and scalable across the customer base.
- Develop reports and data outputs that can be consumed by customers and internal stakeholders
- Improve the performance of the system through tuning activities
- Functionally decompose problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Work in an Agile environment
- Understand system interdependencies and limitations
- Identify and solve technology-related bottlenecks
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency when required around critical system issues
- Ideally 2-5 years of experience working with production-level systems, ideally web based
- Advanced experience with relational database, SQL queries, SQL programming (database procedures / functions), database development (Oracle ideally, MS SQL will be considered)
- Experience analyzing customer problems and recommending solutions
- Proven to work independently as well as part of a team, showing a desire to hunt down the solution to a complex problem
- Understanding of what is required to build efficient, scalable, decoupled, secured, testable and maintainable code.
- Experience or understanding of XML and/or JSON
- Comfortable targeting a Linux server environment.
- Experience with Test Driven Development techniques.
- Some prior experience investigating memory or performance issues in database applications.
- Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Graduates preferred
- Guiding our Application Support team as problems arise
- Develop SQL based reports for delivery to customers utilizing enterprise BI platforms
- Documenting troubleshooting guides for future use, and training the existing support Creating tools and methods for improving the efficiency and productivity of the team
- Understanding our existing application and troubleshooting complex problems as they arise
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Work and collaborate with our agile team
