Application Support Engineer-DevOps

Required Skills

Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, pipeline setup, and best practices.

Experience with application lifecycle management including deployment, scaling, and

monitoring.

Hands-on scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, Shell, Groovy).

Proficiency in using APIs for automation and data integration.

Working knowledge of Docker setup, management, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall, NAT, troubleshooting).

Strong troubleshooting skills for pipeline failures, Docker issues, and network disruptions.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and

testing.

Monitor and optimize pipeline performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Analyze application behavior and usage patterns to support integration and delivery.

Use and manipulate APIs for automation, data retrieval, and workflow enhancements.

Write custom scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and data extraction tasks.

Set up and manage Docker containers for build, test, and deployment processes.

Troubleshoot Docker-related issues and pipeline breakages.

Diagnose and resolve networking issues impacting deployment and pipeline success.

Apply basic networking principles for environment management and infrastructure

troubleshooting.

Desired Skills

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and cloud-based CI/CD integrations.

Familiarity with automated testing, continuous delivery, and DevOps best practices.

Knowledge of security best practices for CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
