Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Lead end-to-end mainframe modernization assessments and develop strategic roadmaps tailored to client needs. Architect and execute large-scale modernization and migration solutions using industry best practices.
- Evaluate and apply modernization patterns such as re-platforming, code conversion, re-architecting, and replacement.
- Mainframe Data Integration solutions like Data Virtualization, Data Replication, Extract Transform Load, Change Data Capture and Data Change Event Streaming
- Designing target architectures and providing technical leadership.
- Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., IBM ADDI, Microfocus EA), mainframe integration (MQ, zOS Connect, APIs), data integration/migration techniques, DevOps for Mainframe (IDz, Git), and application optimization. Familiarity with modern languages (Java/Python) on the mainframe is also important
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Expertise on one or more additional mainframe technologies e.g. IMS DB/DC, PL1, Assembler, IDMS/ADSO, Natural/Adabas, Cool:Gen
- The ideal candidate needs proven experience - 5+ years as an architect, 3+ years leading modernization - architecting and executing large-scale modernizations. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are crucial.
- The candidate should have exposure to general Artificial Intelligence Concepts
