Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience.

What you'll do:

You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to learning needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for associate learning related solutions. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.

Your Responsibility shall include:

  • Lead cross-functional teams spread across geography to deliver complex program
  • Define, monitor and improve critical to success metrics for the success of the program
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Plan and manage multiple parallel projects
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Apply best practices to the software development life cycle for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches
  • Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features
  • Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies and provide the right view to them via reporting/Dashboards
  • Ensure consistent and transparent status updates with all stakeholders (engineering, Business, product, leadership)
  • Tracking / reporting against baseline & plan
  • Define Project Charter and can build Timeline/Roadmap from template.
  • Maintains Roadmap and Project Plan
  • Ensures all risks/issues are being tracked properly in the portfolio
  • Coordinate UAT / Planning
  • Supports AOP/Plan/Loads, Intake into approved projects
  • Schedule/own 4ITB meeting cadence
  • Builds Risk/Issue Log
  • Project Change Request
  • Shares project meeting minutes

What Will You Bring

  • An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream Computer Science preferred.
  • 3+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical program management in a software applications environment
  • Experienced PMO with demonstrable track record of supporting multiple programs projects
  • Understanding of Program Project management methodologies and governance
  • Strong project management & cross group collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience with Agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the different Phases of Development Life Cycle and Experience managing the same
  • Experience of working with Technology deliveries and complex programs projects
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Preferably CSM/SAFe certified
  • Strong experience in Project Management Information systems including but not limited to Jira ,Excel & Confluence
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
  • Well versed with generating Reports and Dashboards using JIRA (or/and tools used)
  • Has experience in managing an SAP Implementation or support projects (mandatory)
  • Associate has good English language Skills both verbal and written
  • Associate has expert customer service/phones skills - Being able to walk associates through advanced tasks over the phone and dealing with difficult customers
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of internal and external personnel with emphasis on follow-through and reporting.
  • Must have excellent organization and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to organize projects and tasks according to priorities.
  • A person in this position should be a good project leader and can effectively communicate project plans and status of projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and enjoy a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
  • Must be a self-started and be able to work remotely.
