Job Description
- Make the business well governed, risk free and compliant
- Identify and highlight threats and risk exposures
- Assess and manage risks
- Monitor the implementation of corresponding mitigating controls
- Design, implement, manage and improve quality and compliance programmes
- Manage compliance and improve business processes and operations by supporting a programme of internal audits and external assessments against adopted standards
- Perform and/or manage internal reviews of projects and services against the industry standards adopted by the business
- Perform walkthroughs, testing & reporting of internal controls that are in scope for risk control matrix
- Support the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of sound business processes
- Conduct reviews and monitor compliance with approved business processes and control frameworks
- Identify processes requiring improvement, coordinate prioritisation and implement improvements using appropriate tools and techniques
- Coordinate activities for fulfilling requirements of internal and external audits or assessments
- Prepare relevant reports for various stakeholders
- Coordinate and / or manage co source IA partners and other consultants, if and when required
The Successful Applicant
what we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Chartered Accountants / Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of internal auditing, accounting, process reviews, risk management, financial analysis, information systems or compliance and regulatory experience required
someone who:
- Has experience and technical depth in various compliance frameworks and standards
- Can partner with engineering, product and finance teams to address compliance issues
- Can work in a fast paced environment with limited direction
- Is interested in moving compliance beyond the checklist
- Can exercise good judgement around the balance of compliance and business needs
- Has an interest in understanding how to leverage risk quantification and compliance
- Is interested in driving compliance and governance as code
- Can establish trust with stakeholders and partners
- Can drive the right balance of compliance & governance investments versus business risks
- Can execute and drive programs to completion
- Can communicate with clarity
- Can function and excel in our culture
