Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Traction Motor/Inverter Control Engineer
Responsibilities
Define HEV/EV Traction Inverter & Electrical System Architecture
Drives functions and Control algorithms such as State transition Diagram & Conditions, Torque control (Protection & restriction), Thermal behavior estimations & management, Vehicle Adhesion Controls
Inverter Controls Software Verification and Validation
ISO 26262 compliance for Traction Inverter ECU, DFMEA
Work with System team to identify the electrical interfaces & calibration
Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking
Technical/ Functional
Knowledge of Power electronics in Electric Vehicle and its Components
Knowledge of Electric drivetrain systems (Architectures, modeling and simulations and design considerations)
Modeling, analysis and design of Inverters, Motor drives and its topology (Vector control & Direct Control systems)
Vehicle dynamics using MATLAB/Simulink or any other tool.
Knowledge of ISO 26262
Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Powertrain Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.
Experience in testing at controller level (HIL), Motor bench and vehicle level
Exposure to Regulations, and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 041, AIS038, AIS102

Education Qualifications
Essential :
B.E / B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication
Minimum 60 % marks
Desirable
Academic/Industrial Project experience related to Traction Motor/Inverter design or simulation/testing
M.E. / M. Tech Course with relevant electives
Traction Control System for Electric Vehicles (EV)
