Experience: 3–5 Years
We are looking for experienced Aircraft Painters with prior aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience to perform aircraft surface preparation, painting, coating, and finishing activities while ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation activities including sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming before painting.
- Carry out spray painting of aircraft components using primers, base coats, top coats, enamels, varnishes, and protective coatings.
- Operate paint equipment including spray guns, primer guns, sealant guns, paint sanders, and polishing/buffing tools.
- Mix paints, primers, hardeners, thinners, and coatings as per approved technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Apply multiple paint coats and final finishing coats to achieve the required surface finish and quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, paint process sheets, technical specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process inspections and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the paint booth, equipment, and work area while following EHS and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of aerospace manufacturing or MRO painting experience
- Surface preparation (sanding, masking, cleaning, priming)
- Spray painting using aerospace-approved coatings
- Paint mixing techniques and correct mixing ratios
- Primer, enamel, lacquer, varnish, and protective coating application
- Ability to use spray guns, sealant guns, buffers, and paint sanders
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical work instructions
- Knowledge of aerospace quality and inspection requirements
- Experience working on helicopters or aircraft is highly preferred
