Job Title: AI Prompt Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Prompt Engineer who can design, optimise, and manage high-quality prompts for advanced AI models. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with LLMs, a strong understanding of AI workflows, and the ability to translate business needs into effective AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and optimise prompts for LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to generate accurate and context-aware outputs.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and build AI-powered workflows.
- Fine-tune and test prompt variations to improve performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Build reusable prompt libraries and documentation for scaling AI use cases.
- Conduct experiments, analyse model responses, and apply data-driven improvements.
- Integrate prompts into applications, chatbots, automation tools, and internal systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI and apply best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues with model behaviour, hallucinations, or inconsistent outputs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 34 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP, LLM prompt engineering, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of large language models and generative AI technology.
- Proficiency in prompt design patterns (zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, role-based prompting, etc.).
- Experience with Python and APIs for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and AI agent workflows (preferred).
- Ability to analyse outputs, identify patterns, and iterate rapidly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with fine-tuning LLMs or building custom AI models.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and data preprocessing.
- Exposure to frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
- Understanding of UI/UX for conversational apps or chatbots.
