AI/ML Consultant - Innovation Hub

We are seeking a Data & AI Lead for a small Innovation Hub to deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) and reusable assets, for various usecases withn Financial Services, with a focus on GRC domains (AML, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance) and Customer Experience4

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data & AI PoCs and innovation prototypes
• Build reusable technical assets, accelerators, and reference architectures
• Design governed semantic and logical data layers
• Implement data virtualization and federated data access patterns
• Apply DataOps and MLOps practices for repeatable PoC delivery
• Design cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP (based on client needs)
• Shape GenAI / LLM PoCs (RAG, knowledge retrieval, case summarization, data discovery)
• Develop domain-aligned data models for AML, Risk, and Compliance
• Work with businesses to identify high-impact use cases, Translate business problems into data-driven or AI solutions and run ideation workshops and innovation programs
• Mentor and lead a small engineering team (2–5 members)
• Present PoC outcomes to business, IT, and compliance stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in data engineering, AI/ML and Agentic AI

Strong experience in:

• Experience in data engineering - Data architecture & data modeling, Data integration & distributed data systems, Data virtualization & semantic layer design
• Experience in Financial Services domain - preferably in GRC domains i.e. AML, Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, Customer Experience.
• 2 years experience in AI systems, architectures, frameworks etc.
• Strong expertise in SQL + Python
• Practical experience in DataOps and/or MLOps practices
• Experience in AI governance evaluation frameworks and Responsible AI
• Experience in leading POCs, rapid prototyping, running experimentation
• Experience building modular, API-driven, reusable components
• Leading innovation programs, workshops, hackathons and accelerate programs. Working with partner ecosystem to co-create innovative solutions
• Multi-cloud solution design experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Proven experience leading small technical teams

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with data virtualization platforms - Denodo
• Experience with data science & AutoML platforms - Dataiku
• Exposure to AI-enabled data platforms and data fabric approaches
• Relevant Anthropic / cloud / data / AI certifications
