About the Role
We are seeking an AI Governance Specialist (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on Responsible AI, AI governance frameworks, AI risk management, regulatory compliance, model governance, AI ethics, and AI-generated governance content evaluation.
In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated governance policies, risk assessments, compliance documentation, AI lifecycle controls, model governance frameworks, audit reports, and regulatory recommendations. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for responsible AI deployment, regulatory compliance, enterprise AI governance, and trustworthy AI.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in AI governance, AI risk management, Responsible AI, technology governance, compliance, data governance, model risk management, cybersecurity governance, or enterprise risk management.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated governance frameworks, AI policies, risk registers, impact assessments, compliance reports, audit documentation, model lifecycle controls, and governance playbooks.
- Evaluate AI systems for fairness, transparency, explainability, accountability, privacy, bias mitigation, human oversight, and security controls.
- Verify AI-generated recommendations against recognized governance standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Assess AI-generated governance documentation for consistency, regulatory alignment, enterprise readiness, and implementation feasibility.
- Identify governance gaps, compliance risks, ethical concerns, security weaknesses, documentation issues, and operational risks.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in governance, compliance, risk management, and Responsible AI.
- Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI governance, technology governance, AI risk management, model governance, compliance, enterprise risk management, cybersecurity governance, or Responsible AI.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Developing AI governance frameworks and policies.
- Conducting AI risk assessments and model reviews.
- Supporting regulatory compliance and AI audit activities.
- Reviewing AI-generated governance documentation and risk assessments.
- Implementing Responsible AI principles across enterprise AI initiatives.
- Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms, documentation standards, or enterprise governance tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical thinking, policy writing, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and written English skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate governance documentation objectively.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise AI programs, consulting firms, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, government agencies, technology companies, or regulated industries.
- Experience performing AI governance assessments, Responsible AI reviews, model audits, AI lifecycle governance, or compliance monitoring.
- Experience evaluating AI-generated governance frameworks, policies, audit reports, regulatory documentation, or ethical assessments.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLM governance, AI benchmarking, RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback), AI safety, model evaluation, or AI assurance is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as:
- ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- IAPP Privacy Certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT)
- or equivalent governance and compliance certifications are advantageous.
