About Bharat Bank

The increasing income diversification, evolution of the tech stack, various government schemes to improve livelihoods, and integrating the country via roads and the internet have provided strong tailwinds to the rural and semi urban (RUSU) or Bharat markets.

To better capitalize on the growth runway and open the world of possibilities for the Bharat customer, the bank has set up a separate Bharat Bank vertical. It is an amalgamation of products and geography, handling certain core products across the country and all the products in the RUSU branches.

The objective is to accelerate the growth journey by expanding distribution reach via branches, partnerships, and digital presence, creating tailored products and processes, and using the One Axis strategy to harness synergies in all parts of the Bank to deliver to the Bharat customer.

The Bank also continues to focus on growing the book profitably by enhancing productivity, improving operational efficiency to reduce cost, and containing risk by leveraging technology such as AI and ML & rigorous portfolio monitoring


The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the team of Sales officers at assigned branches for Nano Business loan.

The Role is expected to manage the team efficiently to achieve the disbursement, collection and portfolio management targets as per defined parameters of the bank. The role will be taking care of 1-2 districts of state based on the portfolio size

Key Responsibilities

Handling sales target for the secured and unsecured loan products for Nano business focused in semi urban and rural area

Train the team for loans products and other banking products for cross sale opportunity

Tracking and improving manpower productivity

Managing collection efficiency to ensure nil flows from bucket X

Managing early delinquencies to ensure portfolio is healthy and there are no nonstarter cases

Customers assessment by visiting business place, residence place and security proposed for cases as per banks policy

Periodic visits of customers and cross checking of sourcing quality/ loan utilization

Managing PDD and audit queries and ensure submission within time

Keeping regular track of competition and reporting new products/market development

Managing relationship with customer and act as first point of contact for any issues if not resolved by RE.

Adhering to the banks policies and ensuring compliance of the same.

Should have valid two wheeler driving licenses, two wheeler and Smart phone (preferably android9/IOS 9 and above)


Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

Education: Graduation/Post Graduation

Maximum Age: 32 Years

Experience: 3-7 Years of experience in sales in Bank or NBFC for- Nano/Micro Business Loans/ Small ticket LAP/ Self-employed PL/ AHL

Good understanding of Micro/Small unsecured business loan, Affordable housing or Small ticket LAP

Role Proficiencies:

For successful execution of the job, a candidate should possess the following:


1.Good knowledge of field level operations and systems

2.Experience in assessed business income is must.

3.Should have knowledge on

oBasic knowledge of credit bureau check

oBanking assessment

oRepayment record assessment

oUnderstanding of local market practices with regard to legal and valuation of property

oGood knowledge of local area and financial/ economic conditions

2.Good communication (both verbal & written) and inter-personal skills

3.Good team management skills


1.Ability to work effectively across functions and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others

2.Ability to manage risk and uncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-setting environment

3.Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

4.Ability to work as a part of team and contribute towards team goals

5.Ability to travel minimum 15- 20 days a month
