Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: BacAlt Biosciences, Bangalore
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order Processing: Raise POs and track procurement of supplies/equipment for office and laboratory needs.
Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels and maintain inventory records for routine consumables, office, and lab supplies.
Facilities Support: Arrange and manage water supply, refreshments, and general office amenities.
Day-to-Day Accounts: Manage petty cash, maintain expense records (digital and register), assist in vendor bill payments, filing receipts, and basic reconciliation.
Payroll and HR Support: Collate employee attendance/timesheets and assist in salary processing and salary records maintenance.
Office Administration: Manage visitor entries, front desk tasks, basic documentation, and coordinate communications.
General Assistance: Support daily operations, assist with vendor follow-ups, and ensure a smooth office environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (any discipline); preference for commerce or office management backgrounds.
1+ year experience in administrative, office, or accounts roles preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Office/Google Sheets; basic familiarity with accounting software (Tally, Zoho, or similar) desirable.
Good communication skills, reliability, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup.
