Role Description

The Accountant (Part-Time) (Ahmedabad) will manage day-to-day finance and accounting activities to support MediaF5™s operations. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing and reconciling invoices, tracking expenses, and assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reporting. The role also involves supporting tax compliance, coordinating with external auditors or consultants, and preparing basic financial summaries for management. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, requiring regular presence at the office and close collaboration with the leadership and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong core accounting knowledge, including ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounting software (such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar) and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance relevant to small and medium businesses.
• Ability to prepare and review invoices, manage accounts payable/receivable, and monitor cash flow.
• Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Relevant educational background in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an agency, startup, or SME environment in Ahmedabad or similar markets is preferred.
