We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 3-4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing the full accounting cycle and possess strong hands-on expertise with Tally ERP 9. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our financial records and supporting sound financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Management: Manage all accounting transactions, including day-to-day bookkeeping, maintenance of the general ledger, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Tally ERP 9 Expertise: Independently handle all accounting operations within Tally ERP 9, including:
- Voucher Entry: Accurate and timely processing of sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal, and contra vouchers.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining stock records, generating reports, and reconciling physical inventory with Tally records.
- Report Generation: Generating and analysing key financial statements, including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet.
- Statutory Compliance: Assisting in the computation and filing of GST and TDS returns directly using Tally data.
- Month-End/Year-End Closing: Execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Bank and Receivable/Payable Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, and maintain accurate records of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Budgeting Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Auditing: Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, policies, and internal controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:3 to 4 years of proven working experience as an Accountant or in a relevant financial role.
- Software Proficiency (Mandatory):Demonstrated expertise and hands-on working knowledge of Tally ERP 9 is a mandatory requirement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (A Master's degree or professional qualification like CA/CMA Inter is a plus).
- Core Accounting Skills: Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, GAAP/IFRS principles, and financial statement preparation.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with large datasets.
