Job Description

Job Summary:

The Account Executive will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist in statutory compliance, and ensure the timely completion of accounting tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency in handling routine accounts and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting Operations

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the Tally/ERP system.
  • Maintain books of accounts, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
  • Handle bank entries, cash book maintenance, and reconciliation.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Verify supplier invoices and prepare payment vouchers.
  • Assist in monitoring accounts receivable and follow up for outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for invoice clarification and reconciliation.

3. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

  • Support in preparation of GST workings and monthly returns.
  • Assist in TDS deduction, calculation, and filing.
  • Maintain all statutory documents for audits and compliance.

4. Payroll Assistance (If applicable)

  • Help in collecting attendance data and preparing payroll registers.
  • Process salary entries and maintain employee reimbursement records.

5. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform monthly bank and vendor reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation of MIS reports, expense reports, and financial summaries.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping.

6. Audit & Support Activities

  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Provide required documents to audit teams.
  • Assist the senior accountant in closing monthly/annual accounts.

Skills & Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 02 years of experience in accounting (preferably in manufacturing).

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / ERP systems.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
  • Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
