We operate in the Shipping & Logistics sector, delivering end-to-end freight forwarding, domestic distribution and cross-border supply-chain services for B2B customers across India and global trade lanes. This on-site role sits at the intersection of commercial sales and operationsdriving revenue growth by converting leads into long-term logistics partnerships.
Position: Account Executive - Logistics & Freight
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition and manage the full sales cycle for freight and logistics servicesprospect, qualify, pitch, negotiate, and close B2B accounts.
- Develop and maintain commercial relationships with shippers, exporters, importers and freight forwarders to grow wallet-share and repeat revenue.
- Structure competitive freight solutions (ocean, air, road) and prepare tailored commercial proposals based on route, transit time and cost-to-serve.
- Coordinate with operations, customs and carrier teams to ensure on-time execution, documentation accuracy and SLA adherence for assigned accounts.
- Negotiate rates, surcharges and contract terms with carriers and customers to protect margins while meeting client service expectations.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and pipeline data in CRM; report weekly sales metrics and forecast to regional leadership.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven track record in B2B sales within freight forwarding, shipping or logistics services.
- Strong knowledge of export-import documentation, customs processes and Incoterms 2020.
- Hands-on experience selling ocean and air freight solutions and negotiating carrier rates.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and advanced MS Excel for commercial quoting and P&L analysis.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to structure profitable deals and manage customer expectations.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel regionally to meet customers and carriers.
Preferred
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP TMS).
- Prior exposure to corporate procurement or global account management.
- Familiarity with Indian export regulations, FTAs and duty classification practices.
